Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon

Michigan State University, College of Human Medicine seeks a Fellowship trained Plastic Surgeon with a primary interest in breast reconstruction and body contour surgery. We invite applicants to help design their own ideal practice mix.
All Plastic surgeons have their choice to be involved in a broad-based general practice (including, but not limited to, Breast Reconstruction, body contour surgery, skin cancer, limb reconstruction, aesthetics and wound care). The department has its own breast oncology practice and will soon be appointing surgical oncology and bariatric surgery.

There is specific potential to develop a microvascular practice supporting elective reconstructive and/or the trauma mission, if desired.

Plastics surgeons will take Call at either or both McLaren and Sparrow Hospital systems in the Greater Lansing area, covering their choice of a mix of hand and/or facial trauma. At this time both institutions support these services with a call stipend. Great care and respect will be taken when designing call schedules to reflect the applicant’s life work balance and practice needs.
