Position Overview

ESA Medical Resourcs is assisting a Charlotte client recruit a Wellness Physican to join their practice. The Wellness Physician will focus on proactive, patient-centered medicine with an emphasis on prevention, lifestyle optimization, and long-term health outcomes. This role is ideal for a physician who values relationship-based care and a holistic approach to
wellness.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive health assessments, including medical history, lifestyle
factors, and wellness goals.

Provide comprehensive wellness and preventive care with a focus on metabolic
health, longevity, and lifestyle optimization.

Evaluate and manage patients using evidence-based wellness protocols,
including nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress, and hormonal health.

Prescribe, monitor, and manage GLP-1 receptor agonist therapy for weight
management and metabolic disease (e.g., dosing, titration, side-effect
management, long-term planning).

Oversee peptide therapies (e.g., for body composition, recovery, inflammation,
and longevity) in alignment with clinical guidelines and safety standards.

Diagnose and manage common acute and chronic conditions within a wellness-
focused model.

Interpret laboratory testing and advanced diagnostics related to metabolic health,
hormones, cardiovascular risk, and inflammation.

Collaborate with health coaches, nutritionists, and other wellness professionals
as appropriate.

Educate and empower patients to make sustainable lifestyle and health
decisions.

Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation and comply with all regulatory
standards.

Qualifications

MD or DO with an active, unrestricted medical license

Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or related
specialty

Strong interest or training in preventive, integrative, or functional medicine
(certifications a plus)

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Patient-focused mindset with a commitment to high-quality, ethical care
