ESA Medical Resources is assisting a southern New Mexico client recruit a plastic surgeon to join their practice. The client’s practice was founded on a commitment to excellence, innovation, and patient care. The practice belongs to a network of highly accomplished plastic surgeons and their practices to advance aesthetic medicine, helping patients feel more confident in their own bodies.

Responsibilities:

Patient Consultations: Conduct thorough consultations with patients to understand their goals, concerns, and medical histories. Provide detailed information about available plastic surgery options, benefits, and potential risks.

Surgical Procedures: Perform a variety of plastic and reconstructive surgery procedures, including but not limited to breast augmentation, rhinoplasty, facelifts, liposuction, abdominoplasty, and body contouring. Utilize the latest surgical techniques and technologies to achieve optimal outcomes.
Preoperative and Postoperative Care: Coordinate and oversee preoperative and postoperative care for patients. Educate patients on preoperative preparations and postoperative recovery expectations. Monitor patients’ progress and address any complications promptly.

Collaboration with Medical Team: Work collaboratively with other medical professionals, including anesthesiologists, nurses, and support staff, to ensure comprehensive patient care. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to discuss complex cases and develop treatment plans.
Continuing Education: Stay current with advancements in plastic surgery, attend conferences, and participate in ongoing education to enhance skills and stay abreast of industry trends.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting consultations, procedures, and follow-up appointments in compliance with medical regulations and standards.
Patient Education: Educate patients on the recovery process, potential risks, and long-term care. Provide clear and concise information to help patients make informed decisions about their treatment plans.

Qualifications:

Medical degree from an accredited medical school.
Completion of a plastic surgery residency program recognized through ABMS.
Board-eligible or certified in Plastic Surgery.
State medical licensure.

Proven experience in performing a variety of plastic surgery procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
